Beauty - Lush Space Girl Bath Bomb Review

9:54:00 pm

Hi Hunnis!

I love baths but a normal (no bubbles or bomb) bath is something that I just cant stand.  If I am having a bath I want it to be relaxing, exciting and an overall lovely experience.  I spice up my baths with bubbles, melts and bath bombs most recently I have been trying out all the different bath time products Lush have to offer and will be sharing them with you over the coming weeks.

Space Girl Bath Ballistic

Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics Space Girl Bath Ballistic

Space Girl is shaped as you can see above like a planet, this was created after Simon Emmerson's (from The Imagined Village and lush music maker) daughter was listening to his latest offering and there was a track called Space Girl she thought it would be great to have a Lush product to match the song and at Lush they thought this would be a great idea and so Space Girl was born.

This is a sweet scented Bath Ballistic which turns the water purple with swirls of red and gold glitter while the scent  retro sweet parma violets fills the room.  Space Girl also has a hidden treat so once you have run your bath pop your ballistic in the water and plunge your head underwater to hear the 'space dust' snap crackle and pop, space dust is known also as popping candy.

This ballistic's special ingredient, grapefruit oil is useful for more than fighting cellulite it  lifts your mood and revives the mind  whilst clearing up congested skin and acne.  It is also great when you have cold, flu or headaches, lack of energy and tiredness.  With almond oil and bergamot oil which are both really good moisturising ingredients this will leave you with super soft skin.

So aswell as it looking really pretty in the water and smelling amazing it is also good for the body and mind.

Have you tried this yet?

Life - The Supreme Accomplishment is to Blur the Line Between Work and Play

7:52:00 pm

Good Evening lovlies!

I have just got home from my first ever shift at Lush, and wowie was it the bestest four hours ever.  At first I was really nervous but as soon as I was on the shop floor I was fine, I felt completely comfortable and like I was meant to be there.  Every single member of staff were so helpful and friendly it made me feel so welcome and part of the team.  I learned loads about the different products and love that I will be learning more and more every single day because there is no way I could learn it all in a day.

I love that I have discovered and love so many products I didn't know a lot about before and hopefully my excitement and enthusiasm shines through to the customers because I am genuinely thrilled to be working there.  From discovering all of these new fantastic products look out for lots of Lush reviews.

I am most excited to learn more about the cosmetics range Emotional Brilliance, from what I have seen today   the whole range is fantastic and I have really enjoyed wearing 'decisive' as a lip colour today.  I will be going to an event tomorrow in Redditch to learn more about this range and meet the amazing Karla Powell, Make Up Artist, so expect a post in the near future about that.

I was so lucky to be given a few products today to try out, so I can tell the customers what they are really like and use my personal experience as guidance.
I choose Ultrabland Cleanser, Love Lettuce Face Mask, Twilight Bath Ballistic, Buffy Body Butter, Its Raining Men Shower Gel and Imperialis Moisturiser.  I was also given Honey I washed the Kids Soap and The Easter Egg Hunt Soap.  I aim to switch all my skincare over to Lush products over the next couple of months so i'm excited to try out the cleanser and moisturiser the most.

Tonight I will be enjoying a bath with twilight to unwind and relax ready for my extra busy weekend.

Hope you all have a lovely evening whatever you may be doing

Lots of Love

Beauty - Lush Melting Marshmallow Moment Bath Melt / Cream Candy Bubble Bar Review

4:01:00 pm

Hey Hey!

Today I have possibly the most exciting news EVER!  I have an interview for my local Lush store, this is  such an amazing opportunity and im so super excited.  Ever since the age of 12 I have loved the amazing products and in store experience that Lush provide. If anyone has any Lush specific interview tips (i have a feeling it is a group interview) I would be extremely happy to see them in the comments.  The interview is not until  the last week of March but I will off course keep you updated.

So with this exciting news I want to share with you one of my favourite Lush bath time combinations.

 and

Cream Candy £2.50 available on the official website here
Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment £3.85 available on the official website here

This is one of the Luxury Bath Melt's from Lush's collection of five, I chose this on my recent visit due to the name, colour and scent.  On trying this it has become one of my favourite Lush products of all time, yes even after just one use.
It is shaped like a giant marshmallow and in my favourite colour pink, the size is very generous and bigger than the other bath melts available.
This is very sweetly scented, which I love.  Its very similar to the popular Snow Fairy Shower Gel (read a review of snow fairy here from the lovely lil miss chickas) and Godmother Soap.  This smell reminds me of candy floss and sweets, taking me back to visits to old fashioned sweet shops with my Grampa, so full of memories.
When I use something other than a liquid bubble bath I want it to be different and exciting to use, with the Lush bath range I love all the different effects and colours that happen when added to water.  This was beautiful in the water, turning it a dusty light pink colour and added a creamy foam to the water.  It also took a long time to melt which is great because it keeps foaming away long after you are in the bath and continues to do so for about 10-15 minutes.  Below are the pictures which I think do more talking than words themselves.

This is fabulous for those of us with dry skin (im sure it would be equally great for other skin types). The almond oil and cocoa butter will leave your skin really smooth while in the bath and long after. With chamomile, marigold and marshmallow these help loads to calm irritated or delicate skin types.

When I have a really relaxing luxurious bath I could not do so without bubbles, so as lovely as the Mmmelting Marshmallow moment is alone, I added half of my Cream Candy Bubble Bar to the bath water.

Before this use I had never tried this bubble bar before as I always sway towards The Comforter, but after smelling this and it being cheaper than my usual I decided to give it a go.The Little sugar flower and chunks of  bath oil mix helped in my decision off course.
I like the shape of this as it makes it very easy to cut as I always cut my bubble bars to get the maximum uses from one bar.
This is another sweet smelling wonder with vanilla being the smell I noticed the most, this scent is just lovely and so girly.

"A sweet creamy candy-floss pink bath that’s like a hug in a soft fluffy towel." - Lush

I only crumbled half of this bar into running water and the amount of bubbles that were produced was amazing,, the best thing is these bubbles lat in your bath, they don't just dissapear after a few minutes.
With the chunks of bath oil and creamy pink water you you can have a truly girly pink bath and get super smooth skin at the same time, what more could I want from a bubble bar?

These two products work so well together and leave my skin so soft, I love experimenting with different products to make the perfect bath, wonder what I will do next?

Have you invented a fabulous Lush Combo, tell me about it!

Lots of Love

Beauty - Miss Patisserie Miss Mango Bath Fizzie Ice Lolly Review

8:33:00 pm

Miss Patisserie was a brand I had never came across before, until I attended the Clothes Show Live in Birmingham. Read my post about the Clothes Show here.  Their Stand just completely stood out from all the surroundng stands and before I knew it I was in cupcake heaven - bathtime cupcake heaven.  These lovely little bakes just looked good enough to eat and smelled devine.

"The fragrances will let your mind take you to places you've remembered, whether it be walking through a lemon grove, biting into a big ball of candy floss or taking out a freshly baked plum pie from the oven."
Miss Patisserie was created by the lovely Charlotte Ridgwell, with her love of beauty and bath products, beautiful illustration, patisseries and pugs and some experimenting in her kitchen at home in Cardiff,  the bath bakes Miss Patisserie are famous for were born. Charlotte started selling her creations at local craft fayres and in a few local shops.  They are now stocked in over 150 stores in the UK including Harrods and also Europe and Australia.  All this has happened in only three years and have introduced a number of new products including cake slices, macaroons, mini bath bakes and lollies.  It is one of the lollies I will be reviewing in this post.

Miss Mango Ice Lolly Bath Fizzie
As you will see in the picture above the lolly is presented in a clear plastic wrapping with a branded bow to seal the product and keep all the delicious scents under wraps until you are ready to use it. I love that this looks just like a lolly you would eat and appropriatly mounted on a lolly stick.

Miss Mango with its white and pink 'lolly' covered in glitter topped with the delicate blue flower is every girls perfect bath accessory.  The glitter really sparkles and this made me fall in love before I had even used it.

At the Miss Patisserie kitchens everything is handmade, the mixing, icing, pressing and packaging are all done by the Miss Patisserie chefs to ensure we recieve the highest quality finished product.  All of the fragrances and natural ingredients such nourishing cocoa butter and epsom salts are added due to the amazing benefits on the skin and body.
As you will see on the website and some of the packaging of the products pug dogs are everywhere (which I adore because they are my favourite dog), this to me shows Miss Patisserie's love of animals.  Her love of animals is proved through the products as none of the ingredients or the products themselves are ever tested on animals.

After running my bath I swirled my lolly around my bath, this was made very easy as the lolly stick is long enough to hold at the bottom,  releasing the beautiful fruity fragrance and nourishing oils.  As soon as the lolly was in the water the scent of mangos, ripe peaches filled the air leaving a  lingering base of clean musk to aid to the relaxation of my bath.  As the lolly disolved into my bath water the glitter sparkled in the light making my bath fit for a princess, in my mind every girl is a princess!
During my bath I could feel the difference in my skin and it was softer than ever before and felt moisturised.
I was enjoying my indulgent bath so much I really didn't want to get out but I had to before I turned wrinkly.  I was concerned that all the lovely glitter would stick to my skin and my whole body would be sparkling, it was visable on my skin but only very slightly, I luckily didn't look like an extra in twilight.  The most astonishing thing was the softness of my skin, it felt so nourished and smelt fabulous.

I  enjoyed my Miss Patisserie Miss Mango Ice Lolly so much and would love to try the other flavours including Pom Pom and La La Lime, you can view them here.  Be sure to expect lots more reviews of Miss Patisserie treats on Button's Blog.
