Beauty - John Frieda Frizz-Ease Straight Ahead Range Review

Hi Hunnis!

Frizzy hair is something I have always struggled with and even though my wonderful Macadamia Healing Treatment Oil has helped tame my locks so much I have been looking for an extra boost lately due to this crazy British weather that cant seem to make up its mind.  The weather constantly changing has made me a little bit more frizzy than usual.

For the past ten days I have been trying out a few products from the Frizz-Ease Straight Ahead range from John Frieda to try and make some improvement to my frizzy hair.  The shampoo, conditioner and serum were my chosen products from the range as these are something I can use every day when I wash my hair and my thought was if I am using them all every time I wash my hair I am more likely to notice any changes.

The shampoo comes in a squeezy tube which I love as it is easy to dispense the correct amount of product each time I use it and will be handy when I come to the end of the bottle as it will ensure I can get every last drop out.
The liquid itself is white in colour with a pearly shimmer running through it, it smells gorgeous and reminds me of being at the salon, so its like a high quality salon wash at home.  I only need a grape size dollop to create a generous lather and this covered my whole head, and I have reasonably long hair, so a little goes a very long way.  It rinses out easily and leaves my hair feeling thoroughly cleansed but not leaving my hair feeling desperate for conditoner.  This is  gentle and extremely moisturising but with that deep clean feeling I love, I always condition my hair after shampooing but with this shampoo it is not completely necessary.

The conditioner is packaged exactly the same as the shampoo and the product itself is the same colour and scent but is a lot thicker than the shampoo as you would expect.
I use a grape size amount and run it through the mid-lengths and ends of my hair and leave it in for about three or four minutes to give it time to really nourish my hair on the areas I am most frizzy.  When I rinse this out my hair is softer but I don't have the extremely silky soft feeling that you get with most conditioners and I am glad of this as I hate the film you get from some conditioners that make your hair feel really heavy and full of product.

As you know I love using oils on my hair so was slightly worried about adding a serum into my routine as I thought it would weigh down my hair and make it greasy but thank goodness it didn't.  After my full cleanse and condition I lightly towel dry my hair and mix a pump of the John Frieda Hair Serum with a drop of my Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment and work into the mid-lengths and ends of my hair, really concentrating on the ends.

I then blow dry as usual, this is when I have been noticing the biggest difference.  Normally when I blow dry my hair it normally resembles a lions mane and if I am leaving my hair down It must be straightened in order to look normal but using these products has tamed my mane and it is a lot smoother and more manageable even before straightening.  Straightening is a delight as my hair is more manageable and smooth in the first place and my hair stays straighter for longer.

I have really enjoyed using these products and will continue to do so until they are finished as I now feel more confident leaving my hair down as I know it looks straighter and stays that way for longer.   These pictures above are after using these products for a week. I am going to be experimenting this afternoon with different hair styles so Im off to check out the
John Frieda You Tube Channel to get some tips.

Lots of Love

Gemma
