Beauty - Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Review

9:52:00 am

I know you have probably seen this reviewed by every man and his dog but I honestly have never liked a cleanser so much and just had to share my thoughts with you all.  So if you haven't already guessed this is going to be a complete rave review.  I do enjoy using the Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean which I have been using for a while but if it is possible I like this more, sorry Peaches and Clean.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

My first love is the packaging, the pump dispenser gives just the right amount of product for my face in two pumps and doesn't get messy. The plastic bottle doesn't get dirty at all and still looks as clean as the first time I used it.  The beautiful Tiffany blue shade of the bottle looks lovely on my bathroom shelf too.

The cream itself is a thick white formula crammed full of cocoa butter, rosemary, chamomile and eucalyptus essential oil.  The eucalyptus oil is the mail scent that I smell when using this, which is so soothing.  Cocoa butter is super softening and moisturising for the skin and chamomile which helps to combat redness is really calming and soothing so a great mix of ingredients.

Cleanse & Polish is a two step process.  First the cleansing which I complete by massaging two pumps onto my make up covered face, I work this all over my face, eyes and neck and literally watch my make up melt away.  The most astonishing this about Cleanse and Polish for me is that you can work it right into your eyelashes to remove mascara and you don't experience any stinging or discomfort, its so gentle.
The second step is the polishing.  I rinse my muslin cloth under hot water until it is completely wet and then ring it out so it is only damp but still hot.  I then begin to buff and polish the cleanser away taking any trace of make up off my face.  Using the muslin cloth also helps to gently exfoliate too. I finish by splashing cold water onto my clean face.

I cleanse with this every morning and night and without a doubt every single time my face feels deeply cleansed and really soft.  I have been using this every night since April and in four short weeks I have had the softest, calmest most radiant skin I have ever had and I honestly put it down to this cleanser.  I have already purchased the 200ml bottle for when this runs out because unfortunately this product doesn't last very long when I ave to cleanse once in the morning and double cleanse in the evening.

Do you have any new found loves?

  1. This looks amazing. Had love to try it and the 15ml with a cloth is a good price for a sample try before you buy.

  4. Great review, Gem!

Totes agree with you. This is by far the best hot cloth cleanser I have used. It dissolves all the make up, even eye make up which is problematic for me.

  7. Think I'm going to have to try this as this is about the 10th raving review I've read! Plus £3.25 for a sample size is a great price, think I may purchase the 50ml and see how it goes :)

    Thanks for a great review!
