Beauty, How to achive volumised separated longer lashes, YSL, YSL Babydoll Mascara Review, Yves Saint Laurent Babydoll Mascara, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, Cara Delevingne It's always a great day when you find a mascara you love, it was a truly memorable moment the first time I tried Yves Saint Laurent's Volume Effet Faux Babydoll Mascara, it was all of my favourite mascaras rolled into one!

As you can see I received a sample of this mascara so the packaging is not that fancy but the actual packaging is beautiful in the trademark gold casing with babydoll written in pink to match the rest of the collection, this is definitely a piece to be proud of in your make up bag.

The wand itself reminds me of the original  Loreal Volume Million Lashes and Benefit They're Real wands.  Although they are very similar I prefer the YSL one as it is daintier allowing more precise application on the bottom lashes and in the corners, I have only ever made a couple of mistakes when using this.

The formula is to die for, I would describe it as being a creamier version of the Benefit They're Real Mascara.  Making errors minimal, transfer a thing of the past and a more even coating of every single lash.  The only thing I would change is the colour, it is black but it could be blacker.  I have been using this for about 4 months and the creaminess has not reduced, to be honest it has not dried out at all, very impressive.

The perfect combination of wand and formula helps to separate, lengthen and add volume to every single lash, even the tiny ones you don't even see most of the time.  It does everything I wish for a mascara to do,this in my eyes is the ultimate mascara.

This little masterpiece comes in four colours, Fetish Black, Indiscreet Purple, Audacious Blue and Wheedler Brown.  This really surprised me as I often find higher end mascaras only come in one shade but YSL have made sure there is one to suit everyone.  Retailing at £24.50 from Debenhams it is on the higher end of the price range but I wouldn't expect any less from Yves Saint Laurent and it really is worth it, I would pay £18.50 for They're Real so for an extra £6 this is definitely justifiable.

What is your favourite mascara?
