Days in the park, sleeveless jackets and ankles on show can only mean one thing, summer is here! This is an outfit I wore last Sunday, its super casual and slightly out of my comfort zone but I really enjoyed wearing it. It was the perfect Sunday outfit, really chilled and comfortable but have to say I was slightly disappointed with the photographs. They made me feel a little self conscious especially about my legs but then I came to think, who cares that my legs look a bit chunkier than normal in these jeans, I felt good and like the way they fit. I think clothes are all about feeling good in them and who cares what other people may think, their opinion is irrelevant if you feel good!
I love the way this t- shirt fits and the sleeves have a slight puff making them more flattering on my arms, the slight sipped hem is also super flattering and sits lovely at the back. I haven't worn a T-shirt like this in years but have loads of ideas what I could wear this with, because of the pink detailing even wearing it with a pair of simple skinny jeans looks slightly more girly than a plain white top.
Denim jackets are my new 'thing' I have two at the moment and would not think twice about buying another, they just go with everything. I have been wearing this one more often recently now the weather is nicer with literally everything, might even be getting to the point that people might think it's the only jacket I own, its just so easy to wear! Expect to see this is many of my summer outfit posts, this is definitely one of my summer staples.
These skinny jeans are actually the first pair of jeans I had bought in years, I got them in the spring in the Yours Clothing Sale and absolutely love them. I hadn't had a pair of jeans fit me this well in years, I have completely over worn them but they still look as good as the first time because they wash so well. I think its always the same when you find something you are comfortable in, I even started buying things to match 'my favourite jeans'. High Five to Yours Clothing for making me feel comfortable in a pair of jeans for the first time in a very long time.
I have noticed that my style recently has been getting a lot more casual, don't get me wrong I still love my skirts and dresses but I have found myself being drawn more to trousers and shorts, I wonder if it's a body confidence thing, because I am happier with my body do I feel better wearing certain things?

Dress/Necklace/Sunglasses/Hair Band/Denim Jacket/Rucksack/Sandals - All George (available online or in store at Asda)
In the UK we are lucky enough to have so many summer music festivals right on our doorstep, there are so many I would love to attend but at the moment it looks like I will only be attending Wireless Festival, in Birmingham. There is so much thought that goes into attending a festival, including which outfits to choose.
I have put together this outfit from George as an inspiration of what kind of look I will be going for when I attend Wireless. I wanted to keep it really quite casual but with a girly touch so the flower detailing on the dress, necklace and hair band add the right amount of femininity to what would be quite a simple outfit. The backpack is not only pretty but super practical as I will be out at the festival for nearly 12 hours a day, a little bag just wouldn't do, I can pack one like this full of everything I might need and its floral, perfect. Denim jackets are one of my favourite things in the summer, they can completely change the look of an outfit and I believe that is the case with this, this one with no sleeves just screams summer to me. I am always drawn to this tan colour when I pick sandals, these are gorgeous with the buckle detailing and gemstones on the front. Last but not lease Sunglasses, these are a little wishful thinking as fingers crossed it is sunny and warm, I will definitely be purchasing these as they would go with so many outfits and the gold detailing makes them look much more expensive than their £3.50 price tag.
I found it really difficult to pick one dress from the range at George for this post as there are so many I would wear and all so affordable, I can't wait to go and have a look next time I'm in an Asda.
Would you wear this to a festival, if not who is your festival style inspiration?
*collaboration with George at Asda, as always these thoughts are my own.

Jumper/Jeans/Shoes/Bag/Nails/Lips/Necklace/Ring(made to order)
I love this Jumper from Yours Clothing, its novelty without being tacky and styling it with a pair of jeans just keeps it simple and the focus still being on the bunny. I decided to play on the pink of the bunny's bow for lips, nails and necklace to add some more colour plus pastels are very on trend at the moment. Tanya Burr's First Date Lipgloss is fast becoming my favourite lip product at the moment, I will be reviewing it in full very soon so all I will say is the colour is a very subtle pink and super glossy while still being super pigmented. I love the name of this OPI polish, Chic from Ears to Tail, I thought it was very fitting with a bunny themed outfit. I always wear shoes like these Vans when im at home because my Granny's house is in the countryside so I have to be practical, these wouldn't stay white for very long though. I have decided I need this Topshop backpack, it's perfect, end of discussion. One of my favourite pieces that makes up this Easter inspired outfit is the ring, this is from a collection by Brighton based jewellery designer Jon Forster. The attention to detail is esquisite, clearly displaying his extensive knowledge of design as well as his love for nature. As every piece is handmade to order these don't come cheap but you would expect something with such detail and craftmanship to have a hefty pricetag.
This outfit is super casual because for me, Easter Weekend is about spending time with family at my Granny's. I love Easter Egg hunts in the local forest, scavenger hunts in the garden and egg painting competitions within the family. You can see what I got up to last year, in my Easter Weekend in Scotland post, beware though it contains the biggest Easter egg collection in the world!
What are your plans for Easter Weekend this year?
Boots - Primark £18.00 (Last Summer)
My first experience with Yours Clothing has been a very pleasant one and I think I have now found a new addition to my favourite online shopping destinations, my bank account is in trouble. The top I am wearing above was just one of my purchases from my first order. I have a couple of other things which you will see soon in a future post.
The first time I wore this top I was unsure what to wear it with as I don't wear trousers a lot so styling tops is uncertain territory to me. I decided because of the shape of the top, that a pair of jeggings would be fitted enough to let the top sit nicely and allow my boots to sit over the top. I have since worn it with my skinny jeans because in all honesty jeggings make me feel less put together, you know what I mean?
This is definitely one of those tops that look better on, because when I first took it out of the packaging I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but as soon as I put it on I loved it. The material has a generous stretch to it so hugs the curves I want it to but because of the shape it skims over the ones I would rather disguise. There was a black waist tie to sit at the back, I didn't like the way the top looked when this was tied, so I cut it off.
These frill sleeves are so flattering! Technically named Angel Sleeves and I now completely understand why, invented in clothes heaven, these are the sleeves I need on every single top I own! The top of my arms is an area I am really conscious of so the fact that these sleeves are not fitted is lovely, it means I can wear short sleeves without feeling the need to re-adjust all day and feel uncomfortable.
Lets just take a minute to appreciate the dip side mesh panels, these are what turn this simple top into something a little more interesting. These are also what I think turns it into a piece that can be worn casual or slightly more dressy if you wanted, very versatile. Sitting just on my hips this cut makes me feel very feminine when they sway from the movement as I walk.
I will definitely be looking at more tops in this style from now on, I love the way they look and make me feel, I wish they had this is white, imagine how that would look with some denim shorts and cute sandles in the summer!
What would you style this top with?
The little black dress is an iconic part of fashion, everyone knows what the letters LBD stand for and every lady I know has one in her wardrobe. The great thing about a little black dress is the style can be completely personalised to everyone's unique body shapes. I have a couple of outfit posts coming up very soon with two of my favourite LBD's ever, very soon, you will not be surprised to know one of them is from New Look. However today I want to share with you my most admired pieces, from my favourite high street store at the moment, as the ones I have are sadly no longer available online or in store. By pushing the boundaries as to what shapes suits each body type, I have discovered four dress styles from the New Look Inspire SS14 range, that I feel are very versatile.
I just want to put it out there that from much deliberation and research I believe I have an hourglass figure. I have come to this conclusion as my body is in quite good proportion large bust, large bum and thighs and smaller waist and décolletage. I am slightly above the UK average size 14-16. Ranging from a 14-16-18 on top with a 38F bust and a 16-18-20 on my bottom half but it completely depends on where I am shopping.
The Skater Dress is one of my favourite styles of dresses, the fitted waist and skirt that flares out into an A-line silhouette (reminiscent of a figure skating outfit—hence the name!), are just so flattering on my shape and comfortable to wear. I like that they extenuate my waist, magically making my chest look more lifted and hide my problem tummy area whilst sitting just below my bottom. Sometimes the length of skater dresses can be a little too short for me and everytime I bend down you can just about see my bum, although slightly cheeky I always have tights on so it doesn't look ridiculous and I am decently covered. They say Skater Dresses are best suited to pear shapes or tall ladies but I love the way these sit on me, I would say they are suitable for all body shapes.
Now this one makes me feel slightly less comfortable, the Mini Dress. Only recently have I even considered wearing a dress of this shape because all you ever read is that Mini Dresses are for small and petite woman, two things I have never been. Well I disagree, give me a good piece of shape wear and I'll gladly get into one of these tighter shapes. A Mini Dress with long sheer sleeves was my outfit of choice on Christmas Eve 2013 and I felt so feminine, sexy and sophisticated, yes you can be all three of these things at the same time, don't worry I will be featuring it here in the future.
Emma Millard from Meet the Millards was the lady who convinced me to try a Swing Dress for the first time, she wears a lot of these on her you tube channel and always looks so well put together and her curvy shape is dressed to perfection. Being honest when I seen these on the high street I used to just walk past them, expecting them to make my curvy figure look shapeless. It was a welcome surprise the day I eventually tried one on, they are incredibly flattering on my least favourite areas, bum, tum and thighs. Swing Dresses are normally recommended to those with more of an apple body shape but I have seen them on many different shapes and sizes and love how flattering they are on.
Maxi Dresses are 'my thing' at the moment, especially this type that the creators behind the Inspire Plus Size Range have embraced. Normally I wouldn't count a Maxi dress as a classic Little Black Dress but because these have the tighter under layer and a sheer outer layer I think they can pass for one. I wore one very similar, from the Tokyo Doll range available from New Look, last weekend as I enjoyed a couple of days luxury break at Sofitel Essouira, Morocco. I felt like a modern day Grecian goddess with a tiny bit of sex appeal but appropriately covered being in a Muslim country. More commonly shorter girls with boyish figures suit Maxi Dresses the most as it gives the illusion of a more feminine silhouette. The sheer long outer fabric of this dress makes it much more suitable for most body shapes, making shape of Maxi Dresses are the perfect in my opinion, I hope they stay on trend for a while.I now have the difficult task of which dress I should choose to spend my vouchers on, Which one of these dresses catch your eye the most?
This has been my favourite outfit in a very long time I've worn variations of it for a few different occasions. This one in particular was my staff night out with Lush at the end of November, we went for a meal at The Pitcher and Piano and myself and a couple of friends carried it on dancing the night away down Hurst Street.
Shoe Boots - (New Look (£19.99))
Belt - New look (£6.99, no longer available)
Tights - Primark (100 denier £2.50)
The day I bought this outfit I was in a rush and asked he lady to help me, she had just spoken to me for a second and came back with this whole outfit, minus the tights. As soon as I put the dress on I felt amazing, a dress hadn't fitted me so well for a long time. The neckline flatters my chest and feels comfortable, not too tight like a lot of dresses can when you have larger breasts. The waist panel is slightly elasticated letting the skirt just hang perfectly skimming over my tummy.
This belt adds a little bit of glamour but in an understated way, its the perfect width for the dress and draws attention to my upper body taking focus away from my tummy, which is the part of my body that no attention is good attention.
Black tights are a staple in my wardrobe especially in winter when its already -1 before tea time. I have been repurchasing these tights from Primark for years and they never let me down.
These wedge shoe boots are very simple with just a little gold buckle at the side, I wanted them to be simple to just give the illusion of never ending legs, a girl can dream eh. I wore them from 7pm to 6am and kept them on all night long, to me its a massive deal because I'm not very good at shoes with height especially after a few cocktails.
Nails - (Glue on falsies from Boots £5.00)
Ring - (Topshop last summer sale £1)
My Hair was freshly coloured on the day these photographs were taken so it looks the best it can colourwise. I opted for a curly blow dry pinned to the side for a little bit of sophisticated glamour, (you can read how this look was achieved here) I really enjoyed having my hair like this because it was easy to retouch throughout the night, it was so refreshing not having to worry about it being straight.
These nails from Boots are my all time favourite falsies, the length and width are perfect as I have tiny nail beds and always have to use the smallest sizes in a box of nails. With these I can get two full sets from one pack, each set lasts about 10 days on my nails, this makes for a happy Button. Sometimes I buy the uncoloured ones but on this occasion the colour matched my hair perfectly.
I decided to keep my make up really classic and make the red lip the focus, I'm going to post about this separately because I quite fancy recreating the look so that will be up soon.
What do you think of this outfit?
Lots of Love

Hello Everyone,
I seem to talk about work quite a lot these days (nothing but enjoyment I promise) so I thought I could let you see one of my typical work outfits. In Lush I don't have a uniform as such but I am asked to wear black and white. I can wear what make up I like, the jewellery I fancy and my hair the way I choose to help jazz up the formal colour scheme.
At the moment I am wearing a lot of dresses, I have found a shape of dress I feel comfortable in and feel that it flatters my figure, making me feel confident every time I wear one. The skater style is my go to style of dress and I can see it being that way for a long time. The cut of this style just seems to just skim over any lumps or bumps I prefer to keep covered and also is tighter at the waist which helps to take the focus away from my tummy and give my chest a boost.
Dress - Primark £13.00
Tights - Primark £2.00
This dress is one of my new found favourites. I like how easy it is just to slip on in the morning it sits at the perfect length and can be dressed up or down. For work I keep this quite simple with just tights and boots and maybe a cardigan but I often have to go somewhere straight from work so remove the boots add some wedges and a nice blazer or leather jacket. I like the lace detailing on the capped sleeves, back and the sides as it adds a bit of interest and a sexy feminine twist on what would be a standard black dress.
This dress is so versatile when it comes to choosing footwear as pretty much anything goes. I have styled this with pumps, sandals and boots. This day in particular I wore my Clark's Desert Boots. As I am on my feet sometimes for more than 12 hours a day with a 1 hour commute each way I need shoes that can offer my legs and feet support. These boots are perfect for my long days on my feet, giving them the support they need to ensure my feet are not aching by the end of the day.
I am a firm believer in that if you wear a £4 pair of shoes and expect your feet to be fine and not achy by the end of the day, you need to wake up.
These on the other hand are quality 'good for your feet' boots. As soon as my feet were in them the comfort was second to none and it hasn't changed after wearing these a few times, I still enjoy the comfort all day long.

I put the comfort down to the sole. The signature crepe sole of the Desert Boot, one of nature's great shock absorbers and water repellents, makes these boots what they are. Crepe's made from latex tapped from the para rubber tree, mixed, mashed and dried before being rolled into sheets. The only way I can describe how this feels is sustainable spongy rubber. I know I'm amazing at describing right....
These just feel so supportive, but light so you don't feel like you have two lumps of led attached to your feet which I have felt with boots similar to these.
These black suede boots are simple but make a statement being a classic style that is so off the moment, Always have been, Always will be.
Did you like this outfit?
lots of love

Hi Hunnis,
Now fashion based posts are something I haven't done for a couple of months, I think the last one was New Years Eve. The only explanation for this is, I haven't been buying a lot of exciting new clothes. Beauty products or travelling seems to be where all my dollar is going these days but...this is about to change.
Next Monday I will be attending an exclusive She Said Beauty event in London, this is the evening part of the #LDNBBMEET, something that without a doubt calls for a new outfit. The only thing I am having trouble with is, this outfit needs to be suitable for daytime but by adding accessories or maybe a change of shoes can be made perfectly acceptable for the evening event. I have been looking for some inspiration of what kind of outfit I want to put together and have come up with an idea to concentrate on when I get chance to have a browse in the high street shops.
The outfit idea above is exactly the kind of look i'm going for, perfect for evening but can be easily dressed down for the daytime. To dress this down I would add an oversized handbag, scarf and cardigan but the focus would still be on the printed trousers. I am loving printed trousers at the moment as they can make a very simple outfit stand out and be different. The leather band at the top of these will be perfect with the white shirt tucked in drawing attention to my waist, this will create a focus point away from my tummy, an area I would prefer to hide. By adding the statement necklace I will be adding detail to my neck area again taking the focus away from those areas I would like to disguise.
An outfit like this would suit my body shape and make me feel more confident always a winner when meeting new people.
What trends are your favourite at the moment?

I am a UK size 16-18 and excuse the picture as I am not the slimmest of girls but this is me on the first night of wearing the leggings
BEFORE
I would put these the leggings on when I went to bed so I was wearing them for roughly 8-9 hours a night and did this for 6 days a week for 21 days as reccomended. I didnt eat any differently or do any extra exercise than normal. The results were fabulous!
Inches Lost
2 inches from my waist
2 inches from my hips
2 inches from each thigh
1/2 inch from each calf
AFTER
Overall I have dropped a size in trousers and I feel fantastic, all my clothes seem to fit nicer than ever. This has given me the confidence to wear summer dresses without tights!! (believe me that is an achievement). I never believed in million years a pair of leggings would help me get rid of inches while I sleep. These are amazing and definately worth £44.99. There is also shorts, ankle length leggings, underwear and tummy control with the same slimming magic.
Have you tryed any of these, if so what do you think?
