Last week I was in London for two days and wanted to try something a little different style wise that what I normally go for.  I am so glad I did as both outfits made me feel really confident and comfortable, I will be definitely wearing skirts more often.

This was a very last minute thrown together outfit and my planned outfit only arrived on the friday and was too small, boo.  I need to thank Charl from Ginger Girl Says one million times for letting me borrow this skirt as she pretty much saved you all from me going in my birthday suit, joking but I very nearly had nothing to wear

Wow its been a while since I did a post like this so I thought no better time than today, I only went to do a bit of shopping with my boyfriend in our hometown so no need to get dressed up.
Id rather not be spending my New Year's Eve shopping but I still had nothing to wear tonight so it was a last minute dash, I now have a whole outfit which I will share with you in another post.

 

 I like what Im wearing because its nice and casual, comfortable and easy to remove when trying on clothes.  I have been wearing variations of this outfit all winter its definately a firm favourite. I am becoming quite a jewellery addict, its the first place I look now when I go into a shop, I love moustaches so I thought Id make the most of this quirky jewellery.

Hey lovlies,

 

With all this cold freezing weather we are experiencing at the moment I was on the hunt my perfect winter coat for weeks. 

 

I started a new job in August which is right next to Matalan, somewhere I have never been a massive fan of until then.  I popped in one day after work and ended up buying quite a few things and the quality is really quite something for the prices you pay.  So when the hunt for a new coat was not going very well I went to Matalan on the off chance I would find one.

This parka is exactly what I was looking for, the length is perfect as I will be wearing this with leggings and jeans mostly.  I love the cuffed sleeves because they look fab and keep the cold out.  The faux fur hood adds a focal point to the coat but can be removed if you like with buttons attaching it to the hood.  But funnely enough its the inside of the coat that caught my eye first.  The hood has a leopard furry lining which not only looks great but is warm and cosey too, the lining inside the coat is the same as the hood at the top and has a caramel coloured silk fabric at the bottom.  I think the fabrics used make this coat look more expensive than it is and makes me feel fabulous when wearing it.

I bought a size 16 which is a size smaller than I would normally buy in coats and jackets and it fits perfectly, fitted around my chest and waist but slightly more baggy around my tummy and thighs, the areas Id rather hide.

This coat is going to get soo much wear it is just the perfect winter coat.

  This was the night before my Birthday, I went out for a meal and up to the social club we go to for a couple of drinks and a cheeky game of bingo.  I had a lovely night with Adam, his parents and his nan.  Im always so excited the night before my birthday, its like christmas for me, the one day a year when I can celebrate just being me.  I wore a very casual outfit and kept my make up muted with just using browns and nudes.

I cant have long nails in my new job so as soon as I new I had a week off the falsies were on quickly than the glue dried.  I decided that Autumn was well and truly here and what better than a deep burgandy, my polish of choice was Essie's Lovie Dovie, well I think its called that, I purchased this in a set of three for £7 from Tk maxx.  When I googled this name and the number a bubble gum pink colour kept coming up so maybe it is at Tk Maxx because it has the wrong shade on the bottom of the bottle?? Either way it is beautiful.




 

 I really loved this make up, simple as it was I think it fitted the occassion and outfit perfectly.
